Taliban Attack Resistance Front Positions in Baghlan’s Khegday Area
The Taliban launched an attack on the positions of the Resistance Front in the Khegday area of Nahrin district, Baghlan, on Tuesday night, according to informed sources. The clash lasted for nearly an hour, but there is no official confirmation of casualties yet.
Kokcha News Agency: Informed sources in Nahrin district, Baghlan, reported that the Taliban attacked the positions of the Resistance Front in the Khegday area on Tuesday night. The clash began around 9 PM and lasted for nearly an hour, with heavy gunfire exchanged between the two sides.
So far, the Resistance Front has not officially confirmed the engagement or any casualties resulting from the attack. The Khegday area in Nahrin district has been a stronghold for the Resistance Front, and this is not the first time the Taliban and the Resistance Front have clashed in this region.
Last year, on July 8, two prominent commanders of the Resistance Front, Abdul Samad Khegday and Khairullah, were killed in clashes with the Taliban in Nahrin. The area remains a contested zone, with both sides vying for control.
