Reza Pahlavi Calls for General Strike and Seizure of City Centers in Iran
Prince Reza Pahlavi, the eldest son of Iran's last Shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, has issued a powerful written message urging Iranians to escalate their street presence, initiate a nationwide general strike in key economic sectors, and prepare to take over and hold city centers.

Prince Reza Pahlavi, the eldest son of the last Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, issued a written message regarding recent events in Iran, stating:
“My dear compatriots,
With your courage and steadfastness, you have inspired the admiration of the world. Your renewed and magnificent presence in the streets across Iran on Friday evening was a crushing response to the threats of the treacherous and criminal leader of the Islamic Republic. I am certain he saw these images from his hideout and trembled with fear.
Now, with your decisive response to the first call, I am certain that by making our street presence more purposeful, and simultaneously cutting off the financial arteries, we will bring the Islamic Republic and its worn-out and fragile apparatus of repression completely to its knees.
In this regard, I invite workers and employees of key economic sectors, especially transportation, and oil, gas, and energy, to begin a general strike.
Also, I ask all of you, today and tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday (January 10th and 11th), this time, starting from 6 PM, to come to the streets with national flags, images, and symbols, and make public spaces your own. Our goal is no longer merely to come to the streets; the goal is preparation for taking over city centers and holding them.
To achieve this goal, move as much as possible from different routes towards the more central parts of the cities and connect separate crowds. At the same time, prepare from now to stay in the streets and procure the necessary supplies.
To the youth of Iran’s Immortal Guard, and all armed and security forces who have joined the platform of national cooperation, I say: further slow down and disrupt the repression machine so that on the appointed day, we can completely disable it.
I, too, am preparing to return to the homeland to be alongside you, the great nation of Iran, at the time of the victory of our National Revolution. I believe that day is very near.
Long Live Iran!”
