“Baztab-e Naw News Agency” (BNN), managed by Tamim Ataee, has officially commenced its operations with the aim of reflecting the realities of Afghanistan, the region, and the world, focusing on truth, transparency, and social responsibility. At the inaugural ceremony of this media outlet, Aryana Saeed, a prominent Afghan artist, expressed her comprehensive support, calling the establishment of this news agency a noble and vital step for amplifying the silent voices of Afghan women and children.
According to Kokcha News Agency, the opening ceremony of Baztab-e Naw News Agency (BNN) was held with the presence of cultural, media, and artistic figures. This new media outlet is set to address current issues in Afghanistan and the region with a distinct approach.
Aryana Saeed, the famous Afghan singer who attended the event as a special guest, emphasized the crucial role of media in the current circumstances of the country in her speech, while appreciating the initiative of Tamim Ataee and his colleagues.
In part of her remarks, she stated: “I believe that supporting any media outlet that takes a step for the human rights, human dignity, and especially the voice of Afghan women, is a collective duty. Today, there are women and children in Afghanistan who are deprived of their basic rights and have no voice. Media that strive for culture, literature, and reflecting the pain of these people deserve recognition.”
The artist added: “This is not only our duty and the duty of human rights defense organizations, but it is the duty of every single Afghan citizen across the globe to show unity and solidarity by supporting such movements.”
Aryana Saeed, who introduced herself at the event as a representative of two groups – “Afghan artists” and “silent Afghan women” – addressed the BNN team, saying: “I consider your endeavor noble and commendable, and on behalf of those who currently lack a platform, I wish you immense success. I will always stand by you, and I will not hesitate to offer any service within my capability.”
She also expressed gratitude to the team and colleagues of the news agency who have gathered without any material expectations, solely motivated by service. She further noted that meeting former media colleagues and cultural figures was an honor.
It is noteworthy that Baztab-e Naw News Agency begins its activities at a time when Afghanistan’s media landscape faces numerous challenges, and the need for platforms that convey the true voice of the people and vulnerable segments of society to the world is felt more than ever.
