From the start of the current month until now, 711,108 migrants have crossed into Afghanistan through the Islam Qala border in Herat.

The Islam Qala border, one of the busiest crossings between Afghanistan and Iran, has seen a surge in returning migrants, many of whom are Afghan nationals who had previously left the country in search of better opportunities.
