US Increases Tariffs on Afghan Trade Goods to 15%
The United States has increased tariffs on Afghan trade goods to 15%, following a previous 10% tariff imposed on imports from Afghanistan four months ago.

Kokcha News Agency: US President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Thursday, raising tariffs on imports from dozens of countries, including Afghanistan, to 15%. The new tariffs will take effect within the next seven days.
This move comes after the US initially imposed a 10% tariff on Afghan imports approximately four months ago. The increase in tariffs is expected to impact Afghanistan’s trade relations and economic stability, particularly in a time of ongoing conflict and political uncertainty.
The executive order is part of a broader US trade policy aimed at protecting domestic industries and addressing trade imbalances. However, it has drawn criticism from some international observers who argue that such measures could further strain the economies of developing nations like Afghanistan.
