ISIS Commander and Several Members Killed in Nangarhar Province

Kokcha News Agency – Local Taliban forces in Nangarhar province have announced the death of an ISIS commander and several members of the terrorist group during an operation in the region.

According to a report by the Jamhor News Agency, Sayed Tayeb Hamad, spokesperson for the Nangarhar Provincial Security Command, stated that the operation took place on Wednesday night in the Jan Shigal area of the Dar-e-Nur district of Nangarhar province. The operation resulted in the killing of a key ISIS commander named Musa, along with several other ISIS members.

Hamad added that the ISIS hideout was destroyed during the operation, and several weapons and a quantity of ammunition were seized by Afghan forces.

The Taliban spokesperson did not provide the exact number of ISIS casualties but confirmed that no Taliban fighters were harmed in the operation.

This comes as the Taliban have previously claimed to have completely defeated and eradicated ISIS in the country.
