The Bitter Choice: Die at Home or Die While Fleeing?
As Israel threatens to destroy Gaza City unless Hamas lays down arms and releases hostages, Palestinians face a grim dilemma: stay and face death or flee and risk it elsewhere. The humanitarian crisis deepens as the world watches.

Kokcha News Agency– Israel has announced its plan to invade Gaza City, with Defense Minister Yisrael Katz stating that the operation will involve “intense fire and the evacuation of residents.” Katz warned that if Hamas does not disarm and release hostages, Israel will destroy Gaza City, declaring, “The gates of hell will soon open.”
Amid the looming threat, many Palestinians have begun fleeing the city, while others refuse to leave their homes, calling on U.S. President Donald Trump to intervene. Protesters holding Palestinian flags and signs reading “Stop the Genocide” made a final plea to the world: “Stop the war, say no to displacement.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has given final approval for the invasion plan, while also stating that negotiations with Hamas for the release of hostages will resume under acceptable conditions. Hamas had earlier accepted a ceasefire proposal mediated by Qatar and Egypt.
The United Nations (UN) estimates that 90% of Gaza’s population has already been displaced, and a new wave of displacement could worsen the existing humanitarian crisis. The Palestinian Authority warns that Israel’s insistence on capturing Gaza City is a “death sentence” for over a million people.
