German Charity “Johanniter” Struggles to Access All Earthquake-Hit Villages in Eastern Afghanistan
The German humanitarian organization "Johanniter" has announced the deployment of two mobile clinics in Kunar province to treat around 200 earthquake victims daily. However, the organization emphasizes that access to all affected villages in Kunar and Nangarhar remains challenging.

Kokcha News Agency: The German humanitarian organization “Johanniter” has revealed plans to establish two mobile clinics in Kunar province, aiming to treat approximately 200 earthquake victims each day. Despite these efforts, the organization has stated that reaching all affected villages in Kunar and Nangarhar is still not possible due to extensive damage and ongoing aftershocks.
Johanniter will deploy two mobile medical teams, including doctors, nurses, midwives, and psychologists, to travel to various villages over the next three months. Syed Mukhtar, head of Johanniter’s mission in Afghanistan, explained, “These teams will provide medicine and psychosocial support. More serious cases will be referred to larger city clinics.”
The organization highlighted the widespread destruction in the area, worsened by strong aftershocks. Johanniter, which has been operating in Kabul for 20 years, continues to work towards improving medical services in Afghanistan.
