Syrian Army Announces Full Liberation of Last YPG/SDG-Held Neighborhood in Aleppo

Kokche News Agency — The Syrian Army issued an official statement today confirming the completion of its military operation against the YPG/SDG terrorist organization in Aleppo’s Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.

The army emphasized that strategic control over all key areas has been secured and the last terrorist strongholds cleared. However, military authorities warned that remnants of PKK and SDG-affiliated militants might still be hiding among civilians.

Residents were advised to avoid unnecessary outdoor movement for their safety.

The statement further noted: “Citizens may contact stationed forces in case of emergencies or sightings of suspicious elements.” This measure aims to ensure sustained security and prevent potential surprise attacks. Final clearance operations, including the removal of remaining explosives and traps, are still ongoing.
