NetBlocks: Iran’s Internet Blackout Surpasses 384 Hours amid “Fake Traffic” Tactics

Global internet watchdog confirms Iran has entered its third week of connectivity disruption; regime accused of simulating traffic to mask the ongoing digital blockade.

KABUL (Kokcha.News) — NetBlocks, the organization that monitors cybersecurity and the governance of the Internet, has reported that Iran is still in its third week of internet disruption, with the nationwide blackout now exceeding 384 hours. According to the watchdog, while there is a slight increase in overall connectivity and tunneled users, there has been no significant change in the restoration of international internet access.

The organization noted disturbing signs of attempts to generate “fake traffic” to fabricate narratives suggesting a widespread restoration of services. NetBlocks analysis indicates that while some Telegram proxies are connecting via mobile networks, the core international internet remains blocked, leaving the population in a state of digital isolation.

NetBlocks confirms that the internet blackout in Iran has crossed the 384-hour mark as the country enters its third week of disruptions.
