Afrin Celebrates Decree on Kurdish Rights as Army Secures West Euphrates After SDF Withdrawal

Celebrations in Afrin In the Aleppo countryside, the city of Afrin is witnessing widespread celebrations. Residents have welcomed the issuance of a special decree by President Ahmad al-Sharaa, which officially guarantees the rights and distinct identity of the Kurds within the Syrian state. Military Developments Simultaneously, the Syrian Ministry of Defense released a statement welcoming the decision of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to withdraw from contact lines west of the Euphrates.
