Ukraine to Receive Long-Range Weapons Soon, Says German Chancellor

Kokcha News Agency: German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has revealed that Ukraine is set to receive long-range weapon systems, developed jointly by Ukrainian and German defense firms, in the near future. 

This announcement comes as part of ongoing efforts by Western nations to bolster Ukraine’s military capabilities in its conflict with Russia.

However, the move has been met with sharp criticism from Moscow. Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Russian Presidency, stated that Merz’s comments on long-range weapons are an obstacle to peace efforts in Ukraine.

Peskov said, “This is nothing but further provocation of war, nothing but attempts to force Ukrainians to continue fighting. It is a very dangerous process and an irresponsible stance taken by Germany.”

The delivery of long-range weapons to Ukraine highlights the deepening involvement of Western nations in the conflict, while Russia warns that such actions could hinder peace negotiations.
