Operation “Ghazab-e-Haq”: Pakistani Fighter Jets Rock the Heart of Kabul
The border tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have reached a point of no return. Hours ago, the Pakistani army officially shifted the equation of the conflict from the border to the depths of Afghan territory by launching heavy airstrikes on areas in the Afghan capital. This massive aggression came after Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Pakistan's Defense Minister, unprecedented declared the start of an "open war" with the Taliban, emphasizing that his country's army, unlike foreign forces, will not leave the region.

According to reports received by Kokcha News Agency, local sources report hearing loud explosions in several areas of Kabul city. Thick columns of smoke have risen from the targeted points, and panic has spread throughout the capital. These unprecedented attacks occurred hours after the Taliban’s claim of capturing 19 border posts and a main Pakistani army headquarters, resulting in the deaths of dozens of Pakistani soldiers.
Islamabad has launched this extensive operation under the name “Ghazab-e-Haq” (Wrath of the Truth). Pakistan’s Defense Minister announced the end of his country’s strategic patience, warning that responses to cross-border attacks will henceforth be direct, heavy, and deep inside Afghan territory. In a jab at the former presence of American forces in the region, he stated: “We did not come from across the seas to leave; we are neighbors, and we know this geography well.”
Meanwhile, the office of Antonio Guterres, the UN Secretary-General, issued a statement expressing deep concern over the escalating conflicts and urged both parties to protect civilians by adhering to international law and pursue the path of diplomacy.
On the battlefield, both sides are presenting conflicting casualty figures:
-
Pakistan claims to have killed 72 Afghan forces and destroyed 36 tanks and armored vehicles belonging to the Taliban.
-
Afghanistan reports killing 55 Pakistani soldiers and capturing 19 border posts and one headquarters.
However, the direct attack on Kabul has changed the rules of the game forever. The border clashes appear to have reached a point of no return. The world now awaits the Taliban’s severe response to this full-fledged aggression against Afghanistan’s national sovereignty.
Pakistani fighter jets have bombed areas of Kabul in Operation “Ghazab-e-Haq”. Pakistan’s Defense Minister officially announces an “open war” with the Taliban. These retaliatory strikes follow the Taliban’s capture of 19 Pakistani border posts. The UN calls for immediate restraint.
