Israel Holds Secret Talks with Russia on Iran and Syria Amid Ceasefire
Israel has reportedly engaged in secret negotiations with Russia regarding Iran and Syria, following the recent ceasefire with Tehran, as part of efforts to find a diplomatic solution to regional tensions.

According to Israel’s state broadcaster KAN, high-level contacts have been maintained between Tel Aviv and Moscow to address issues related to Iran and Syria. The talks were reportedly initiated about a week after the ceasefire with Iran was declared, following Russia’s offer to mediate between Israel and Iran.
Details of the Talks:
While no specific details about the content of the discussions were disclosed, the talks are believed to focus on finding a diplomatic resolution to ongoing tensions in the region.
Broader Agreement with the US:
Israel is also said to be seeking a broader agreement with the United States on Iran. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to raise this issue during his planned meeting with US President Donald Trump in Washington next week.
Israel reportedly aims to establish a framework on Iran similar to the agreement previously reached with Lebanon.
Context of the Ceasefire:
Israel launched airstrikes on Iran on June 13, which were halted after Trump announced a ceasefire on June 24. Since then, Israeli officials have been discussing the expansion of “normalization agreements,” known as the Abraham Accords, with claims that negotiations with Syria are also underway as part of this effort.
