Iranian President Pezeshkian Claims U.S. Belief in Iran’s Nuclear Weapons Program is Propagated by Israel

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian recently appeared on American journalist Tucker Carlson's program via an internet connection.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian appeared on American journalist Tucker Carlson’s show, addressing Iran’s nuclear program, U.S.-Iran relations, and regional security. Pezeshkian claimed that U.S. officials’ belief in Iran developing nuclear weapons is propagated by Israel.

Pezeshkian revealed that Israel has attempted to assassinate him but failed. He also dismissed the notion that Iranians living in the U.S. are “sleeper cells,” asserting that this idea is spread by Israel and that Iranians are inherently peace-loving people.

Regarding U.S. President Trump, Pezeshkian acknowledged that Trump has the potential to steer the region toward peace and a brighter future, but he also criticized U.S. sanctions on Iran, which he said create barriers to trade and economic activity.

When asked about the possibility of a major war and whether Iran would seek military or economic aid from China or Russia, Pezeshkian confidently stated that Iran has the strength to defend itself and stand on its own feet. He reiterated that Iran does not seek war but is prepared to fight to the last drop of blood to protect its territorial integrity.

Pezeshkian also addressed concerns about Iran potentially attacking the U.S., emphasizing that Iran has not invaded another country in the last 200 years. He clarified that the slogan “Death to America” is not directed at the American people or officials but at those who support violence, oppression, and injustice. He further accused the U.S. of creating ISIS and being responsible for the negative image of Islam and Muslims worldwide.

On the topic of diplomatic relations, Pezeshkian revealed that during negotiations with the U.S., Washington had assured Iran that it would not attack unless Israel gave the green light. However, he claimed that Israel sabotaged the negotiation process, effectively destroying diplomacy.

Pezeshkian also mentioned that Iran is open to inspections but lamented that illegal U.S. attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities have caused significant damage to equipment and infrastructure.
