Bayat Foundation Provides Food and Non-Food Aid to Thousands of Afghan Migrants at Islam Qala Border
The Bayat Foundation has distributed food and non-food assistance to thousands of Afghan migrants at the Islam Qala border in Herat, aiming to ease their return from Iran and provide essential support.

Kokcha News Agency: The Bayat Foundation has announced the distribution of food and non-food aid to thousands of Afghan migrants at the Islam Qala border in Herat. Ehsanullah Bayat, the general director of the Bayat Foundation, stated that the assistance is aimed at returnees from Iran and includes setting up tents at the zero-point of the border, distributing food packages, and transporting thousands of people from the Islam Qala border to the city of Herat.
Ehsanullah Bayat said, “The return of our fellow citizens from the neighboring country in such dire conditions is unacceptable. They should not endure so much suffering and hardship. To this end, on behalf of my family, the Bayat Foundation, and in collaboration with Afghan Wireless, we have strived to make the return of our compatriots easier.”
Mr. Bayat emphasized, “We have arranged a series of measures, including transportation, food, water, and other essential items that our fellow citizens (migrants) need for sustenance, and we are expanding these efforts.”
Bayat added that this assistance is part of the first phase of their efforts, and hundreds of migrants are being transported daily from the Islam Qala border to Herat with the help of the Bayat Foundation.
Mr. Bayat stressed that the foundation’s cooperation aims to facilitate the transportation process of migrants. According to him, the provision of facilities for returnees from Iran will continue.
Ehsanullah Bayat also mentioned that in the next stages, efforts will be made to increase the level of assistance provided by the Bayat Foundation.
Meanwhile, migrants who have benefited from the Bayat Foundation’s aid have expressed their gratitude and called for the continuation of the foundation’s support.
