Houthis Claim Attack on Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport; Israel Intercepts Missile

Yemen’s Houthi rebels have claimed responsibility for a ballistic missile attack on Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv, while Israel’s military announced it intercepted the missile.

Kokcha News Agency: Yemen’s Houthi rebels have announced that they launched a ballistic missile attack on Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport, located near Tel Aviv. In response, Israel’s military confirmed that it intercepted the missile, which was fired from Yemen, and air raid sirens were activated in several areas of the country.

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Sari stated in a video announcement that the group had carried out a “qualitative military operation” using a ballistic missile. Earlier, Israel’s military posted on social media platform X that it had intercepted a missile launched from Yemen after sirens were activated in multiple regions early in the morning.

Houthi Maritime Attacks Continue
The Houthis also claimed responsibility for sinking two ships this week, including the “Eternity C.” The European Union (EU) announced that three more crew members from the “Eternity C” were rescued in an operation in the Red Sea, bringing the total number of rescued crew members to 10.

Sari stated that the “Eternity C” was attacked on Monday while heading toward Israel’s Eilat port, and the attack was carried out in support of Palestinians in Gaza. He also warned companies operating in Israeli ports that their ships would remain targets until Israel lifts its blockade on Gaza.
