Erdoğan: 47-Year Terror Monster Is Coming to an End

Kokcha News Agency reports that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan declared that the 47-year-long terror threat is finally coming to an end. During his speech at the 32nd Consultation and Evaluation Meeting of the AK Party, Erdoğan announced, “The terrorist organization has announced its disbandment. Yesterday, they officially relinquished their weapons, and this process is nearing completion, God willing.”

He emphasized that Turkey has fought a difficult yet resolute battle against terror, and now is the time for national unity and stability. Erdoğan highlighted that heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country will always be remembered and their honor protected.

Referring to the beginning of the terror campaigns in 1984, Erdoğan pointed out that thousands of security personnel and civilians have fallen in the fight, and their sacrifices will never be forgotten.

He added, “Terror has been a dark fact trying to undermine our stability and unity. But we have brought this darkness under control with the will of our nation and the strength of our state. The dark circles of vested interests and exploitation are closing. No one will be able to divide this nation and this homeland anymore.”

Concluding his speech, Erdoğan reaffirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining this success and called on the people to stay vigilant so that terror does not rise again.

Welcoming the ‘Century of Turkey’:
He sent his greetings to all party organizations across Turkey’s 81 provinces and 922 districts, and also to party members abroad. “I wholeheartedly greet all my brothers and sisters who see the ‘Century of Turkey’ as a blessed dawn, our veteran party members, our women and youth branches, and all fellow comrades who serve diligently at every level from headquarters to neighborhood. I thank all brothers and sisters who have dedicated their hearts to this cause,” he said, emphasizing unity and brotherhood.

Remembering Comrades and Martyrs:
Erdoğan also remembered the late Yiğit Bulut, who was a cherished comrade, advisor, and a brother in faith, passing away due to severe illness. “We laid our brother and advisor, Yiğit Bulut, to rest today. He will be buried in Karacaahmet. We will hold his funeral prayer during the afternoon prayers at Marmara University Theology Faculty. We cannot participate in the funeral here in Kızılcahamam, but our organization will take part there,” he stated.

He described Bulut’s condition as very serious when he visited him at the hospital, noting that Bulut remained patient and trustful in fate. Erdoğan prayed, “May Allah convert his sins into good deeds. May his place be paradise, insha’Allah.”

Our Hearts Are Heavy:
He extended his condolences to all who lost their lives in the fight against terror and prayed for mercy for the martyrs and patience for their families and our nation. “Six days ago, we lost 12 brave soldiers and 12 civilians, and our hearts were broken,” he said. On the battlefield, the martyrs of Pençe-Kilit region, who fell during search operations and exposure to methane gas, were honored, and Erdoğan prayed for their mercy and eternal paradise. “May Allah be pleased with all of them and embrace them with His mercy,” he added.

Continuing Support for Bosnia-Herzegovina:
He marked the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, sharing Turkey’s ongoing support and heartfelt sharing of grief as always. Every mass grave and every martyr we buried since that tragic day remind us of those dark days. Turkey continues to be by Bosnia and its Bosniak brothers’ side at all times, under all circumstances, to prevent such tragedies from happening again. Erdoğan reaffirmed that Turkey has kept the promise made to the late Alija Izetbegović and will continue to uphold that promise. “This land was entrusted to us. It is the homeland of the children of the conquerors. As the children of the conquerors, we will protect and care for these people,” he said.

He paid heartfelt tribute once more to the 8,372 martyrs murdered brutally in the genocide, and expressed his prayers for the oppressed people of Gaza, who have been suffering a genocide for 22 months. Erdoğan asserted Turkey’s ongoing support for their brave resistance against tyranny and occupation.

Upcoming Initiatives:
He announced that, in accordance with tradition, the 32nd consultation and evaluation meeting would continue with discussions on security, development, economy, and politics—both current issues and future strategies for Turkey and the broader world.

He emphasized that these meetings foster “common wisdom,” where all participants will openly share their ideas, criticisms, and suggestions, which will shed light on the truth. Erdoğan reaffirmed that the AK Party has institutionalized a culture of consultation, always working with consensus, mutual respect, and listening to the nation’s voice.

He concluded by urging everyone to do their part honestly and sincerely: “We are working only for the benefit of Turkey. We serve the nation, our independence, and our future. No one should fear, worry, or doubt. We know what we are doing; we are doing it for Turkey, for our nation, for our independence and future.”
