Kokcha News Agency reports that Fazal Mohammad Saber, Chargé d’affaires at the Afghan Embassy in Ashgabat, and Faryal Leghari, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkmenistan, met on Saturday to reinforce bilateral ties. Discussions focused on expanding trade relations, resolving challenges faced by Afghan refugees, and streamlining visa processes for Afghans in Pakistan.
The Afghan Embassy in Ashgabat stated via X that both sides underscored the importance of deepening diplomatic and economic relations to confront ongoing regional issues. Faryal Leghari emphasized the significance of the “good” relationship between Kabul and Islamabad and committed to relay the outcomes of the meeting to officials in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate in Islamabad and the Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan held talks on bilateral ties, regional developments, refugee matters, and related topics, signaling a focus on regional diplomacy and cooperation.
Additionally, Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Mohammad Sadiq, and Iran’s Director General for South Asia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohammad Reza Bahrami, held an online meeting to discuss recent developments in Afghanistan. Sadiq described the discussions as “constructive,” with both sides sharing concerns about terrorism and exploring ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and regional engagement.
