Kokcha News Agency reports that former U.S. President Donald Trump, via his Truth Social account, threatened to strip Rosie O’Donnell of her American citizenship. Trump labeled O’Donnell, who has publicly criticized him and recently moved to Ireland, as “a threat to humanity.”
In his post, he stated, “Due to her not aligning with the interests of our great country, I am seriously considering revoking her citizenship.” However, he also added that if Ireland’s government wishes, she could remain in the country.
The conflict between Trump and O’Donnell has been public and longstanding. Before his political career, she was a prominent critic of Trump and often expressed her views on social media. After Trump’s return to office this year, O’Donnell moved to Ireland with her family, and in a TikTok video, she said, “We will consider returning once everyone’s rights and equality are guaranteed in the U.S.”
O’Donnell has continued to criticize Trump on various social media platforms, notably accusing him of endangering the country with his “horrific decisions,” especially citing the deadly floods in Texas on July 4 as an example of his “dangerous leadership.”
This development highlights the ongoing political and personal clash between Trump and critics like O’Donnell, reflecting the deep divisions in American society over issues of leadership, criticism, and national identity.
