Kokcha News Agency: Israel’s relentless military campaign in the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7, 2023, has resulted in a staggering death toll of 58,026 and 138,520 injured, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. The latest figures highlight the devastating impact of the conflict on Palestinian civilians, who are struggling to survive under constant bombardment.
In the past 24 hours alone, 139 dead bodies and 425 injured civilians were brought to hospitals in Gaza. Among the dead, five were identified as victims of previous Israeli attacks who had been trapped under rubble.
Since Israel unilaterally broke the ceasefire on March 18, 2024, an additional 7,450 Palestinians have been killed and 26,479 injured, according to the Health Ministry.
Humanitarian Crisis Deepens
The Ministry also reported that 833 Palestinians have been killed and 5,432 injured while waiting for humanitarian aid distribution. In the past 24 hours, 28 people were killed and over 180 injured in attacks targeting aid distribution activities.
The ongoing Israeli offensive has created a dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, with civilians facing severe shortages of food, water, and medical supplies. The international community has repeatedly called for an immediate ceasefire and increased humanitarian aid to the region, but Israel has continued its military operations, targeting both civilian infrastructure and aid convoys.
