Israeli Soldier Who Participated in Gaza Attacks Commits Suicide in Golan Heights
An Israeli soldier involved in the Gaza offensive has committed suicide at a military base in the Golan Heights, marking the third such incident among soldiers who participated in the Gaza war within the past week.
Kokcha News Agency – An Israeli soldier from the Nahal Brigade has taken his own life at an army base in the Golan Heights, a Syrian territory occupied by Israel. The soldier, who had previously participated in the ongoing military operations in Gaza, was found dead on Tuesday morning.
According to Israel’s Channel 12, this is the third suicide in the past week involving soldiers who were deployed in the Gaza conflict. The Israeli military has confirmed that an investigation has been launched into the incident, with the findings to be shared with the military prosecutor.
The Golan Heights, a strategic plateau captured by Israel during the 1967 Six-Day War, has been a site of military significance for decades. The suicide at the base highlights the growing psychological toll on Israeli soldiers involved in prolonged conflicts, particularly in Gaza, where intense fighting has persisted since October 2023.
