“Do Not Shed Crocodile Tears for Afghans Leaving Iran” / “The Taliban Committed Crimes in Iran, State Media Remained Silent”

Kokcha News Agency: The Iranian newspaper “Jomhouri Eslami” has published a scathing editorial, accusing certain groups of profiting from the presence of illegal foreign nationals in Iran and shedding “crocodile tears” for Afghans who are now being expelled. The paper criticized the delayed decision to expel these individuals, which came after it was revealed that some of them had collaborated with the Zionist regime during the recent 12-day war.

The editorial stated that “profiteers” are now trying to whitewash the crimes of these individuals and keep them in the country for their own financial gain. It also criticized “naive individuals” who, influenced by the lies of these profiteers, are shedding “crocodile tears” for the illegal foreign nationals who are being forced to leave Iran.

The paper expressed regret that Iran has always been harmed by these two groups: “profiteers” and “naive individuals.” It also pointed out the failure of state media to expose the collaboration of some illegal foreign nationals with the Zionist regime, calling it one of the ambiguities in this case.

The editorial further criticized the silence of state media regarding the Taliban’s crimes in Iran, suggesting that the media has failed to adequately address the issue.
