In the 12-Day War, Israeli F-35s and Drones Launched from Azerbaijan
During the 12-day war, Israeli F-35 fighter jets and drones launched from Azerbaijan targeted Tehran, Karaj, and northern Iranian cities. Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas, was martyred by a micro-drone that also originated from Azerbaijan, according to reports.

Kokcha News Agency: Dr. Dariush Safarnezhad, a university professor and international relations expert, revealed that Israel has four drone bases in Azerbaijan, which were used during the 12-day war to launch attacks on Iran. Israeli F-35 fighter jets and drones, operating from Azerbaijani soil, carried out missile strikes on Tehran, Karaj, and several northern Iranian cities.
Dr. Safarnezhad also disclosed that Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas, was martyred by a micro-drone that was launched from Azerbaijan. This operation highlights the strategic use of Azerbaijani territory by Israel for military purposes.
The expert further noted that even before the war, Israeli drones had entered Iranian airspace from Azerbaijan multiple times to conduct various operations. Unfortunately, Iranian officials did not issue a strong and public protest against these incursions, which may have emboldened further actions.
