UAE and Jordan Drop Aid Parcels into Gaza Amid Famine Crisis

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Jordan have begun airdropping aid into Gaza, delivering eight parcels to alleviate the famine crisis caused by Israel’s blockade.

In response to the famine crisis in Gaza resulting from Israel’s blockade, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) andJordan have started airdropping aid into the besieged enclave. According to Israel’s state television KAN, aircraft from the UAE and Jordan dropped eight aid parcels via parachute into Gaza City.

Four of the aid parcels were dropped into the Old City area of Gaza City, while the other four were delivered to the Zeitoun neighborhood in the northern part of the city.

Israel had announced on Friday that it would allow foreign countries to airdrop aid into the Gaza Strip. However, previous airdrops have been criticized after some parcels fell on civilians, causing injuries and deaths, while others landed in the sea, leading desperate civilians to rush to the shores in search of aid.

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza, exacerbated by Israel’s blockade, has led to the deaths of at least 133 Palestinians from starvation.
