Pakistan Calls on Taliban to Cooperate in Securing Border Regions Amid Rising Attacks

A senior official from Pakistan’s Interior Ministry has expressed concern over the increasing terrorist attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces, urging the Taliban to cooperate with the Pakistani government to ensure regional security.

Kokcha News Agency – Talal Chaudhry, Deputy Interior Minister of Pakistan, has raised alarm over the resurgence of terrorist attacks in the country’s border regions, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Speaking at a meeting in Islamabad on Monday, Chaudhry emphasized that security forces are facing heavy casualties and stressed that without full political support from the government, they will not be able to effectively counter these threats.

Call for Taliban Cooperation:
Chaudhry highlighted ongoing communications with the Taliban, stating, “We are neighbors and brothers, and we have made significant sacrifices for peace in Afghanistan. Now is the time for Afghanistan to fulfill its responsibilities.”

He pointed out that over 90,000 Pakistani citizens have lost their lives due to terrorist attacks, and the continuation of this situation could have consequences beyond Pakistan’s borders.

Accusations Against the Taliban:
Pakistan has accused the Taliban government in Afghanistan of providing sanctuary to members of the Pakistani Taliban (TTP), an allegation that the Afghan Taliban denies.
