Her statement comes as leaders of the European Parliament’s “Left,” “Greens,” “Socialists,” and the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats have criticized the EU’s inaction regarding the situation in Gaza and other occupied Palestinian territories.
In a letter to senior EU officials, the parliamentary group leaders condemned the EU’s failure to act and warned that “history will not forget your inaction.”
The letter highlights the ongoing violence and humanitarian crisis in Gaza, calling for immediate and decisive action to address Israel’s actions.
Miranda emphasized that governments must take concrete steps to stop the crimes committed by Israel in Gaza, stressing that the international community cannot remain silent in the face of such atrocities.
