Trump and Putin Make Progress but No Final Agreement

US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a productive meeting in Alaska, making significant progress but failing to reach a final agreement on key issues.

“Kokcha News Agency” – US President Donald Trump stated that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin made important progress during their meeting in Alaska but did not achieve a final agreement.

Trump and Putin spoke at a joint press conference at Elmendorf–Richardson Base in Anchorage, Alaska, following a “three-on-three” format meeting themed “In Pursuit of Peace.”

Trump said, “This meeting was very productive. We really made great progress. We reached agreements on many issues. However, we have not yet fully agreed on a few important matters.”

The US President added, “There are still a few important issues on which we have not fully agreed, but we have made some progress. Until an agreement is reached, there is no agreement.”

The summit, which lasted approximately 3 hours, saw Trump accompanied by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Middle East Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, while Putin was joined by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Kremlin Foreign Policy Advisor Yuriy Ushakov.
