Kokcha News Agency: Local sources in Panjshir province have revealed that the Taliban re-arrested Ahmad Khan, a young man who had previously been detained for chanting anti-Taliban slogans during a forced gathering organized by the group. The incident occurred on Saturday, August 24, as the Taliban marked the fourth anniversary of their takeover of Afghanistan.
During the gathering, Ahmad Khan unexpectedly chanted slogans such as “Death to oppression, death to the occupier, and death to the Taliban,” defying the Taliban’s expectations. Sources reported that Taliban forces immediately beat him on the spot and detained him for several hours before releasing him. However, the group re-arrested him the following day and took him to an undisclosed location.
Local sources have expressed concern over Ahmad Khan’s fate, as there is currently no information about his condition. Reports indicate that the Taliban often deal harshly with critics, subjecting them to torture or even execution.
