Trump Very Happy: $500 Million “Fraud” Fine Overturned
A New York appeals court has overturned a $500 million "fraud" fine against former U.S. President Donald Trump. Trump called the decision a "victory" for him.

Kokcha News Agency – The New York Court of Appeals has overturned a $500 million “fraud” fine against former U.S. President Donald Trump. The case, which has been closely followed by the American public, saw the appeals court reject the fine, which had grown to $527 million with interest.
The court upheld a lower court’s ruling that Trump, his eldest sons, and a company executive had “engaged in transactions to alter their net worth for tax and insurance advantages.” However, the appeals court ruled that the $527 million fine imposed on Trump and his company was “an excessive penalty” and overturned it.
This decision deals a significant blow to New York Attorney General Letitia James’ extensive lawsuit against Trump and his company.
TRUMP’S “VICTORY” STATEMENT
In a statement on his Truth Social account, Trump called the court’s decision a “victory” for him. He said, “This case was a political witch hunt like nothing seen before in the business world. It was a case where city and state governments interfered in the presidential elections. Despite everything I did being right and even perfect, they tried to illegally show that I did wrong things.”
The lawsuit, filed in 2022, had sparked widespread public debate and raised questions about whether it was politically motivated, as it threatened to derail Trump’s path to the presidency.
In the 2022 penalty hearing, the court had imposed a $464 million fine on Trump and his company, which, with daily interest, had grown to $527 million by today.
