Kokcha News Agency: In the aftermath of the severe earthquake in eastern Afghanistan, especially in Kunar province, nearly four thousand people have been injured, with women and girls accounting for about thirty percent of the casualties. This comes at a time when many female doctors have either left the country or are confined to their homes due to restrictions imposed by the Taliban.
This dire situation raises the question: who will take responsibility for treating these thousands of injured women? Will they be left to fend for themselves in abandoned rooms, without access to medical care, and eventually lose their lives, only to be buried under the label of “Sar Tor” (women without guardians)?
This issue is not only deeply painful from a humanitarian perspective but also highlights the indifference and callousness of some individuals toward the suffering of these women. How can one claim to be human while remaining indifferent to the pain and suffering of others?
