Explosion in Balabulok District, Farah Province, Claims Lives of Eight Family Members
An explosion in the village of Nowabad, Balabulok district of Farah province, has tragically killed eight members of a single family, including parents and their children, most of whom were minors. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, leaving the house of a local figure known as "Malang Janan" completely destroyed.

Kokcha News Agency: A devastating explosion in the village of Nowabad, Balabulok district, Farah province, has resulted in the deaths of eight family members, including parents and their children, with the majority being children and teenagers. The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon, and the house, belonging to a local figure named “Malang Janan,” was completely destroyed in the blast.
According to a local resident, Malang Janan and his entire family were buried under the rubble. Local residents, along with Taliban forces, worked late into the night to recover the bodies from the debris.
Taliban-affiliated media, citing Fida Mohammad Saad, the Taliban-appointed district governor of Balabulok, confirmed the explosion. The Taliban-controlled Bakhtar News Agency in Farah also reported the incident, initially stating that seven people had died and that one injured person succumbed to their wounds while being transported to the hospital.
Taliban officials have yet to provide any information regarding the cause of the explosion.
