Badakhshan: When the Taliban Turn on Each Other
A bloody clash has erupted between two Taliban factions in the Wardoj district of Badakhshan, leaving many dead and wounded. Eyewitnesses report that the ground is shaking from the screams of the injured and the explosions of heavy weapons.

Kokcha News Agency: Reports from Badakhshan indicate that a fierce battle has been raging for the past two hours between two Taliban groups in the Wardoj district. Eyewitnesses describe a scene of chaos, with the ground trembling from the sounds of explosions and the cries of the wounded.
In the midst of the fighting, two Taliban rangers were burned alive, and fighters from both sides are using heavy weapons to eliminate each other in a struggle for power and loot.
This is not just a local skirmish; it is a vivid depiction of the Taliban’s internal divisions. In recent months, such intra-group clashes have repeatedly occurred in Badakhshan and other provinces. This internal explosion is a clear sign that the Taliban’s so-called “Emirate” is crumbling from within.
The Taliban, who once claimed unity, are now tearing themselves apart. This is the first tremor—a tremor that will ultimately break the heart of the monster they have created.
