Hamas Denies Claims of Gradual Weapons Handover, Reiterates Official Communication Channels
Hamas has dismissed recent claims about a gradual weapons handover under international supervision as "completely false," emphasizing that official statements from the group are only released through its official website and Telegram channel.
Kokcha News Agency: In a brief statement, Hamas has categorically denied reports attributed to an informed source within the movement, which were published by the Al-Hadath network, regarding the gradual handover of weapons under international supervision. The group stressed that such claims are “baseless and untrue.”
Hamas reiterated that its official statements are exclusively released through its official website and Telegram channel. The movement urged media outlets to exercise caution and rely solely on information published through its official communication channels when reporting on its activities.
According to IRNA, U.S. President Donald Trump recently proposed a 20-point plan to end the Gaza conflict, which includes an immediate ceasefire, the release of Israeli prisoners in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian detainees, the withdrawal of Israeli forces to agreed-upon lines, and the establishment of an international body to oversee the reconstruction and administration of Gaza.
In a separate statement, Hamas announced its agreement to the release of all Israeli prisoners, both alive and deceased, and reiterated its willingness to transfer control of the Gaza Strip to a Palestinian entity composed of independent technocrats. This entity would oversee Gaza’s affairs within the framework of national consensus, supported by Arab and Islamic backing.
However, Hamas emphasized that the future of the Gaza Strip and the rights of the Palestinian people will only be discussed within a comprehensive Palestinian framework.
