Israel’s Violence Against Palestinians Reaches Historic Levels Since October 8, 2023

Israel’s ongoing violence, displacement, and oppression of Palestinians have escalated to unprecedented levels since October 8, 2023, following Hamas’ attack on October 7, marking a new chapter in the decades-long conflict.

Kokcha News Agency — Israel’s systemic violence against Palestinians has reached historic levels since October 8, 2023, following Hamas’ attack on October 7. The Israeli government has intensified its crackdown on Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem, using mass arrests, home demolitions, and illegal settlements as tools of oppression.

Human rights organizations and activists have condemned Israel’s actions, highlighting the use of judicial systems to suppress Palestinian voices and the acceleration of displacement policies. Adalah, a Palestinian legal rights group, reported that over 800 Palestinians have been arrested under anti-terror laws, often without charges, and subjected to inhumane conditions in Israeli prisons.

Israeli anthropologist Jeff Halper, an expert on home demolitions, stated that Israel’s goal has always been the “Judaization” of Palestine, displacing Palestinians and replacing them with Jewish settlers. Since 1948, Israel has demolished approximately half a million Palestinian homes, with a significant increase in demolitions since October 2023.

In East Jerusalem, Palestinian activist Fahri Abu Diyab, whose home was demolished in February 2024, shared his story of resistance against Israel’s displacement policies. He emphasized that the destruction of homes is not just about buildings but about erasing Palestinian history, memories, and futures.
