Iranian President Pezeshkian Heads to Azerbaijan for ECO Summit
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has departed for Azerbaijan to attend the 17th Summit of the Heads of State of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), following an invitation from the Azerbaijani President.

President Pezeshkian left Iran on Friday morning, accompanied by his First Vice President, to attend the ECO Summit in Khankendi, Azerbaijan. The summit, hosted by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, brings together leaders from ECO member states to discuss regional cooperation and economic development.
During his visit, President Pezeshkian is scheduled to deliver a speech at the summit and hold bilateral meetings with several heads of state participating in the event.
The ECO, founded in 1985, aims to promote economic, technical, and cultural cooperation among its member states, which include Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Pakistan, and several Central Asian countries. The organization focuses on enhancing trade, investment, and infrastructure development across the region.
President Pezeshkian’s participation in the summit underscores Iran’s commitment to strengthening regional ties and fostering economic collaboration within the ECO framework.
