President Erdoğan Travels to Fuzuli, Azerbaijan, for ECO Summit
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has arrived in Fuzuli, Azerbaijan, to attend the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), accompanied by a high-level delegation.
President Erdoğan traveled to Fuzuli, Azerbaijan, aboard the presidential aircraft “Tur” to participate in the ECO Summit.
Upon his arrival at Fuzuli Airport, he was greeted by Azerbaijani Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s Special Representative for Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend Emin Huseynov, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Ankara Rashad Mammadov, and Turkey’s Ambassador to Baku Birol Akgün, along with embassy staff.
Erdoğan was accompanied by a delegation that included Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Binali Yıldırım, AK Party Deputy Chairman and Head of Relations with Turkic States Kürşad Zorlu, AK Party Deputy Chairman Halit Yerebakan, AK Party Deputy Chairman Sevilay Tuncer, Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, and Presidential Foreign Policy and Security Advisor Akif Çağatay Kılıç.
President Erdoğan and his delegation then proceeded to Khankendi, where the ECO Summit is being held.
ECO Summit Agenda
The summit, hosted by Azerbaijan, is themed “A New ECO Vision for a Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Future.” President Erdoğan is expected to deliver a speech during the summit’s session and hold bilateral meetings with other heads of state.
