Netanyahu to Discuss Iran’s Nuclear Program with Trump; Israel Seeks Zero Uranium Enrichment and Full Military Freedom
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to discuss Iran’s nuclear program with U.S. President Donald Trump, with Israel demanding zero uranium enrichment in Iran and full military freedom to act against any Iranian military buildup.
According to Israeli Channel 13, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will discuss Iran’s nuclear program with U.S. President Donald Trump during their upcoming meeting. Israeli officials have outlined two key demands that Netanyahu will convey: zero uranium enrichment in Iran (both for military and civilian purposes) and full military freedom for Israel to act against any Iranian military buildup.
Meanwhile, Iran’s state-run Press TV reported that Tehran believes Israel is actively seeking war and that Trump is unlikely to oppose it. An unnamed Iranian source stated that Iran is in a state of “full readiness” and described the upcoming Trump-Netanyahu meeting as predetermined and deceptive. The source warned that if the U.S. attacks Iran’s nuclear program while expecting diplomatic trust, it would reflect poorly on Trump’s negotiation skills and cast doubt on the prospects of resuming nuclear talks.
Axios reported that Israeli officials believe Trump could give them a green light to attack Iran again. The White House spokesperson, however, reiterated that Trump remains committed to peace and diplomacy and that the U.S. is still in contact with Iran, both directly and indirectly, regarding a potential agreement.
In a related development, Russian Channel 57 reported that Russia and China are strengthening Iran’s military capabilities. Russia has reportedly sent SU-35 fighter jets to Iran, while China has delivered 40 J-10C aircraft. This military support highlights the deepening ties between Iran, Russia, and China amid regional tensions.
