Iran Denies Trump’s Claim of Seeking Negotiations: “No Meeting Request Sent”

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Ismail Baghaei, refuted U.S. President Donald Trump’s claim that Iran is eager to negotiate, stating that no meeting request has been made by Iran.

Kokcha News Agency: Ismail Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responded to U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent remarks, in which he claimed that Iran is eager to negotiate with the United States. Baghaei stated, “No meeting request has been sent from our side to the American side.”

Trump made the comments during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last night, saying, “We have planned to negotiate with Iran, and they also want to negotiate. They have been hit hard. I hope we won’t have to attack. Iran is eager to negotiate after the tensions; they want to meet. They want to do something. They are different; they are very different from two weeks ago.”

Baghaei’s statement comes as a direct rebuttal to Trump’s claims, emphasizing that Iran has not initiated any request for negotiations or meetings with the U.S.
