Israel Continues Gaza Airstrikes, 90 Palestinians Killed in a Single Day

Kokcha News Agency reports that Israel’s ongoing airstrikes in Gaza have caused significant casualties and destruction. Early reports indicate that in the attacks launched since morning, 90 Palestinians have been killed. The strikes targeted residential areas, shelters, and gathering places of civilians.

Hospital sources and witnesses say that Israeli soldiers targeted homes, tents, and civilian gathering spots in different parts of Gaza. Notably, an Israeli missile hit a building near Gaza Islamic University where displaced people had taken refuge, killing 4 Palestinians. In Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza city, an airstrike on a home resulted in 4 deaths and 10 injuries.

In Sheikh Ridwan neighborhood, an attack on an apartment killed 3 members of the same family and injured several others. An additional strike in Rimal neighborhood killed 2 Palestinians. In Deir al-Balah, two airstrikes targeted the city, killing 7 Palestinians, while another attack on a nearby apartment claimed the lives of 2 women.

In the Aksa Martyrs Hospital area of Deir al-Balah, a tent housing displaced civilians was hit, leading to 3 deaths. In Nusayrat refugee camp’s Hüseyniyeh district, an Israeli strike on a home killed a girl and injured many others.

In Khan Yunus, southern Gaza, Israeli aircraft targeted tents housing displaced civilians, killing 11 Palestinians including women and children. Also, in the west of Gaza city, two attacks with drones on civilian areas in the Al-Şati refugee camp resulted in 8 deaths, including children.

In the northern Gaza city of Jibaliyah, airstrikes on the houses of the Abu Verde and Sadallah families killed 15 Palestinians and wounded dozens. In the southeast, in Ez-Zaytun neighborhood, an attack on Yasin family’s home killed 7 Palestinians.

Further, attacks targeting civilians waiting for humanitarian aid resulted in 23 deaths: 2 in the Sudaniyye area and 21 in the west of Rafah. Over 50 Palestinians were injured in these strikes.

The continuous onslaught has severely worsened the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with casualties mounting across multiple regions amidst the ongoing conflict.
