Arab Outrage Over Netanyahu’s Remarks on “Greater Israel”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s comments about his "historical and spiritual mission" to achieve "Greater Israel" have sparked widespread anger across the Arab world, with users on social media condemning his expansionist rhetoric.

Kokcha News Agency – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in an interview with the i24 network, declared that he is on a “historical and spiritual mission” and is “emotionally connected to the vision of Greater Israel.” He also revealed that Tel Aviv is in talks with “several countries” that could potentially host Palestinians, a statement that has drawn sharp criticism from Arab social media users.

Netanyahu’s remarks, made amid ongoing Zionist propaganda about the concept of “Greater Israel,” echo the views of institutions like the Torah and Land Institute, which claim that the historical borders of the Zionist entity stretch from the Euphrates River in the east to the Nile River in the south. This vision includes the annexation of vast Arab territories beyond occupied Palestine.

Arab activists and social media users have reacted strongly, viewing Netanyahu’s statements not as personal opinions but as a clear expression of Israel’s colonial ambitions and a threat to regional security and stability. Many users linked his comments to Israel’s ongoing policies, such as settlement expansion and land annexation in the West Bank.

Criticism also targeted Arab governments and factions that advocate for disarming Palestinian resistance, with users arguing that such policies directly serve Israel’s expansionist agenda. Activists warned that weakening the resistance would pave the way for further Israeli advances and even threaten the existence of other countries.

Some users described Netanyahu’s remarks as a “threatening message” to the Arab world and a “slap in the face” to those supporting normalization with Israel, emphasizing that the Israeli leader has openly revealed his colonial intentions.

In another part of the interview, Netanyahu expressed his desire to implement part of former U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan, which involves the “voluntary migration” of a large portion of Gaza’s population. He compared this approach to forced migrations during the wars in Syria, Ukraine, and Afghanistan, stating that “residents of Gaza must first be given the opportunity to leave, and then we will deal with the remaining enemy with full force.”

As reactions continue to grow on social media, users are calling for vigilance and a reevaluation of the policies of some Arab governments regarding the Palestinian issue.
