Kokcha News Agency reports: The United States has responded to the recent Israeli airstrikes in Syria, with U.S. officials voicing significant concern over the escalating situation. According to the reports, a U.S. official, incorrectly identified as Secretary of State Marco Rubio, stated that the U.S. is “greatly concerned” about Israel’s attacks in Syria.

The official further explained that the U.S. is in communication with all relevant parties and is calling for an end to the conflict. This comes after the Syrian state news agency SANA reported three explosions in Damascus, targeting areas near the Presidential Palace, the Defense Ministry, and the General Staff Headquarters.

The Israeli military later confirmed that they had targeted the Syrian General Staff Headquarters, specifically striking the entrance to the military headquarters. The attack reportedly resulted in one death and at least 18 injuries.
