Turkey Condemns Israel’s Airstrikes in Damascus, Calls for Stability

Kokcha News Agency reports: In the wake of Israel’s airstrikes targeting Syria, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a strong condemnation of the attacks. The ministry stated that Israel’s military interventions in southern Syria and the latest strikes in the center of Damascus are a blatant attempt to sabotage Syria’s efforts to establish peace, stability, and security.

The ministry’s statement highlighted that the Syrian people have a historic opportunity to live in peace and integrate with the world. It called on all stakeholders who support this opportunity to contribute to the Syrian government’s efforts to restore tranquility.

Akif Çağatay Kılıç, the President’s Foreign Policy and Security Advisor, also condemned the attacks on social media. Kılıç stated that the climate of war and fear that the Israeli administration is trying to create in the Middle East is becoming increasingly intractable, continuing to disregard international law. He affirmed that Turkey will continue its struggle to preserve regional peace and stability.

The Turkish government’s response underscores the regional tensions and the complex geopolitical dynamics at play in the Syrian conflict. Ankara’s call for stakeholders to support Syria’s efforts to restore peace and security reflects its desire for stability in the region, which it sees as crucial for its own security and interests.
