Israel’s Chief of Staff Threatens to Expand Attacks if Ceasefire Deal with Hamas Fails
Israel’s Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, has warned that if a ceasefire agreement with Hamas is not reached within a few days, Israel will intensify and expand its military operations in the Gaza Strip.

Kokcha News Agency: Israel’s Chief of Staff, General Eyal Zamir, has issued a stern warning to Hamas, stating that if a ceasefire agreement is not finalized within the next few days, Israel will escalate its military operations and expand the scope of its attacks.
Zamir made the remarks during a meeting with Major General Yaniv Asor, the commander of Israel’s Southern Command, to assess the situation in the Gaza Strip.
Zamir emphasized that Israel is approaching a critical juncture in the conflict and that it will become clear within a few days whether an agreement to release Israeli hostages held in Gaza can be reached.
He stated, “If an agreement is reached, the military forces will deploy in accordance with the political leadership’s directives.
However, if no agreement is reached, I will instruct the Southern Command to intensify and expand the scope of the war as much as possible. In that case, we will enter new areas and continue our operations as we have done so far.”
The warning comes amid ongoing negotiations between Israel and Hamas, with the international community urging both sides to reach a ceasefire to prevent further civilian casualties and destruction in Gaza.
