Reports of Assassination Attempt on Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara in Damascus
Reports have emerged of an assassination attempt on Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara in Damascus, allegedly carried out by Mossad terrorists, with Israeli drones reportedly seen flying over the capital prior to the incident.

Kokcha News Agency: Unconfirmed reports suggest that Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara was targeted in an assassination attempt in Damascus, allegedly orchestrated by Mossad operatives. Israeli drones were reportedly seen flying over the capital before the incident, and strong explosions were heard in the city.
The assassination attempt comes after Israeli Internal Security Minister Ben Gvir stated on July 16 that the only solution to dealing with Ahmed al-Shara, also known as Jolani, was to eliminate him. Earlier this year, US Special Envoy to Syria Tom Bark also emphasized the need for increased security measures to protect al-Shara.
Following the incident, the major intersection of Al-Mouwasat in Damascus was temporarily closed to traffic.
Kokcha Press is investigating the matter through official sources, but local media and sources have already reported the presence of Israeli drones and explosions in the capital.
The reported assassination attempt on Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara underscores the escalating tensions in the region, with Israel allegedly targeting high-profile Syrian figures.
