Trump-Branded Luxury Resort in Oman Rapidly Taking Shape on Cliffs Overlooking the Gulf

Kokcha News Agency: Satellite images reveal significant progress on the Trump-branded luxury villas being built on the cliffs of Yiti Beach in Oman, one of the Middle East’s most valuable coastal developments. The project, named “Aida,” is part of Oman’s broader “Vision 2040” plan, which aims to diversify the country’s economy beyond oil by attracting luxury tourism and foreign investment.

The centerpiece of the development is the $500 million Trump International Oman, which will feature a 140-room luxury hotel and an internationally-standard golf course. The resort is being constructed on a massive 3.5 million square meter site, located just 15 minutes from the capital, Muscat. This prime location makes it easily accessible from major Gulf tourism hubs like Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

Luxury Villas with Hefty Price Tags
According to the developers’ website, three-bedroom villas are already on the market for over $1 million each. The project is a testament to the Trump Organization’s growing influence in the Gulf region, where it is also developing other high-profile projects, including the Trump Tower Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, set for completion in 2029, and the Trump International Hotel and Tower Dubai, which will feature the world’s tallest outdoor swimming pool.

Political and Economic Implications
While former U.S. President Donald Trump has transferred his global business interests to his family during his presidency, critics argue that potential conflicts of interest persist. The project also highlights the close political and security ties between Gulf leaders and the Trump family. Oman, in particular, has played a mediating role in nuclear talks between the U.S. and Iran, further cementing its strategic importance in the region.

The Trump International Oman is part of a broader trend of luxury developments in the Gulf, aimed at attracting high-net-worth individuals and boosting tourism. The project aligns with Oman’s Vision 2040, which seeks to reduce the country’s reliance on oil revenues by investing in tourism, real estate, and other sectors.
