Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Hospitalized Due to Food Poisoning

Kokcha News Agency: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been diagnosed with intestinal inflammation after consuming spoiled food and is currently receiving treatment.

The Prime Minister’s Office announced that Netanyahu was examined at his home by Professor Alon Hershko, the director of the Internal Medicine Department at Hadassah Hospital in West Jerusalem.

The 75-year-old prime minister reportedly felt unwell throughout the night and has been advised to rest for three days under medical supervision. Netanyahu is also receiving intravenous (IV) fluid therapy to treat dehydration caused by the illness.

Statement from the National Security Minister
Following the news of Netanyahu’s illness, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his support, stating, “The people of Israel, the country, and our security need you to continue the good work we’ve done together, with courage and determination on all fronts.”

Previous Health Issues
This is not the first time Netanyahu has faced health challenges. In 2023, he underwent surgery to have a pacemaker implanted. In December 2024, he was hospitalized for a urinary tract infection and subsequently underwent prostate surgery.
