Freedom Front Demands Germany Expel Taliban Diplomats

The Freedom Front of Afghanistan has strongly reacted to Germany’s acceptance of two Taliban diplomats to work in the Afghan embassy in Berlin and the consulate in Bonn, calling it a breach of human rights principles and constitutional values. The group has urged Berlin to reconsider its decision and expel the Taliban representatives.

In an official note to the German Foreign Ministry, the Freedom Front stated that Germany’s decision contradicts its own constitutional principles and the European Convention on Human Rights.

The group emphasized that any interaction with the Taliban should be conducted through multilateral mechanisms under UN supervision and in cooperation with diplomats from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

The German Foreign Ministry, however, defended its decision, stating that the Taliban diplomats were accepted to address the issues faced by Afghan citizens.
