Israeli Military Continues Deadly Attacks in Gaza, Killing Civilians and Targeting Aid Workers
The Israeli military has intensified its attacks in Gaza, killing civilians and targeting aid workers, as the humanitarian crisis in the region deepens. In a recent airstrike, at least 41 people were killed at a popular café frequented by students and journalists.

The Israeli military has been accused of exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with recent attacks targeting civilians and aid workers. In one incident, a Palestinian civilian carrying a sack of flour was killed by a drone strike, as reported by Al Jazeera, which broadcast footage of the attack.
In another attack, 600 civilians were reportedly killed by Israeli forces while attempting to receive food aid in an area operated by the Gaza Humanitarian Aid Association, a U.S.-backed organization. The United Nations and human rights advocates have labeled this so-called “humanitarian aid mechanism” a “death trap.”
Café Attack Leaves 41 Dead
In a separate incident, the Israeli military conducted an airstrike on Al-Baqa Café, located near the port in Gaza, killing at least 41 people and injuring 75 others, according to Dr. Muhammad Abu Silmiya, director of Al-Shifa Hospital. The café, situated along the Mediterranean coast, was a popular spot for students, journalists, and remote workers due to its internet access and workspace facilities.
Among the victims were journalist Ismail Abu Hatab and several children. Yahya Sharif, an eyewitness who spoke to Al Jazeera, described the scene: “People were scattered everywhere. This place had no political or military ties. It was packed with people, including children who had come for a birthday party.” The attack reportedly occurred without any prior warning.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) claimed in a statement to CNN International that the incident is “under investigation.”
Humanitarian Crisis Deepens
The ongoing attacks have worsened the already dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, where civilians are struggling to access basic necessities such as food, water, and medical supplies. The international community has called for an immediate cessation of hostilities and increased humanitarian aid to the region.
