Russia and China have initiated a joint naval exercise, "Sea Interaction-2025," in the Sea of Japan, focusing on defense and rescue operations, as both nations strengthen their military cooperation.

Kokcha News Agency reports that the naval forces of Russia and China have commenced a joint military exercise, “Sea Interaction-2025,” in the Sea of Japan. The exercise, which began with warships departing from Vladivostok, will run until August 5.

The drills involve warships, aircraft, and other naval assets, with a focus on search and rescue operations, anti-submarine warfare, and aircraft defense missions. This marks another step in the growing military partnership between the two nations, which have been conducting joint exercises since their first collaboration in the Yellow Sea in 2005.
